Dramatically Speaking was created out of a shared love for theatre and a desire to create more honest, accessible conversations about the entertainment industry. As two young performers navigating different paths within the business, Jolie Lubar and Jake Ryan Flynn realized there were so many parts of the theatre world people do not openly talk about, from training and auditions to branding, rejection, burnout, career pivots, and building meaningful connections in such a competitive industry.

Jolie Lubar, a musical theatre performer and content creator brings a perspective shaped by social media, college training, and connecting with the next generation of artists online. Through her growing platform and experience creating theatre-focused content, she became passionate about making industry conversations feel less intimidating and more transparent for young performers trying to find their place in the arts.

Jake Ryan Flynn, known for his work on Broadway and beyond, offers firsthand insight into growing up working professionally in the industry from a young age. His experiences both onstage and behind the scenes bring a unique perspective on balancing career, creativity, and personal growth within entertainment.

Together, they created Dramatically Speaking as a space where performers, creatives, and theatre lovers can learn, laugh, ask questions, and feel a little less alone while navigating the entertainment world. Through interviews, conversations, and shared experiences, the podcast aims to pull back the curtain on the theatre industry and create a community rooted in honesty, curiosity, and collaboration.
